Born in Napier, Mair is an all-rounder who plays for the New Zealand Women’s cricket team. Mair has had an impressive domestic career, and she was constantly knocking the doors of the selectors.
She finally made her international debut in a T20I game against Indian women. Mair had a match to forget as she went for 31 runs in 3 overs at just over 10 runs per over.
She has represented three teams in the WBBL and holds the unique distinction of being the first WBBL player to line up for two different clubs in the space of one season.
In February 2019, Mair was included in the ODI squad for the first time in her career. She made her much-awaited debut against arch-rivals, Australia. She immediately made a statement in the match, picking up 2 wickets for 35 runs and put a stop to the scoring rate.
Mair was in the New Zealand squad for the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup.
A talented young cricketer, Mair is a good technical player who has all the attributes to be a successful cricketer. Opportunities will be there, but she has to capitalize on them.
