A genuine pace-bowling all-rounder, Darius D’Silva is a professional cricketer for the United Arab Emirates who has also represented Mount Lawley District in the Western Australian Cricket Association. Born in Dubai, D’Silva featured for Western Australia U-23s in the Future League Second Division matches, playing alongside the likes of D’Arcy Short and Andrew Tye.
D’Silva had previously represented the State throughout the age groups and was part of the u-15 and u-19 Championship-winning sides. A stylish middle-order batsman, the youngster made his international debut for UAE in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers against the Netherlands. Since his debut, he has become a regular for the associate nation, boasting an impressive all-round domestic career.
Yet to feature in any international game since January 2020, the 23-year old’s career has been put to a halt due to the covid outbreak and he would be hoping to return to action prior to the T20 World Cup.
