A talented leg spinner, Amanda Jade-Wellington is a professional Australian cricketer who represents Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League(WBBL). The youngest ever player to represent the Scorpions in a senior match, the leggie had a bright start to her cricketing career.
Having already represented Australia in the indoors version of the game, Amanda earned her maiden national call-up for the ODI series against the Proteas Women. She made her ODI debut on November 27th, 2016 and was economical, giving just 35 runs and also picked up the wicket of Mignon du Preez.
Often known for her wicket-taking abilities in the middle-overs and dry up the runs, Amanda can trouble even the best batters in the world and will be extremely crucial for the Striker’s going into this seventh edition of the WBBL.
